NEW SHRED GENERATION

New Shred Generation is an outstanding instrumental studio project, entirely written by GIORDANO BONCOMPAGNI who also played both rhythm and lead guitar and features world-leading musicians such as:

AQUILES PRIESTER • Drums (former Angra, Hangar, Noturnal)
TONY MACALPINE • Keyboard (Solo artist, Steve Vai Band)
FRANCK HERMANNY • Bass (Patrick Rondat, Stephan Forte, Adagio)

These artist do not need a presentation.
They are some of the most talented and technical musicians in the world, and, for the first time, they have worked together with Giordano for almost two years.

New Shred Generation contains modern ideas and technically complex tracks. If you are ready to listen the most extreme instrumental songs ever, this is definitely the right album for you.

The artwork and booklet have been made by the famous designer COLIN MARKS (Strapping Young Lad, Jeff Loomis).

GIORDANO BONCOMPAGNI

Giordano started playing guitar when he was 16 and after only 5 years he founded his first bands Anima (Yngwie Malmsteen & Stratovarius Tribute Band) and Lunocode with whom he produced a Demo in 2007, an EP in 2011 and the debut full length in 2012.
Afterwards the Lunocode production stepped up to theatrical proportions when they released a live album recorded in an outstanding theater and an acoustical album, both under 7/Hard records. However Giordano felt the need to commit to the most ambitious project ever: New Generation Solo album.

In 2012 he got in touch with Aquiles Priester of Angra fame who was immediately enthusiastic as soon as he heard the first demos to the point that he also involved heavy-weight names as Tony Macalpine, Franck Hermanny and Guga Machado in the album. Welcome to the New Shred Generation!
